Mikasa, a designer, developer and marketer of tabletop products, sent a personalized invitation to newly married couples with special offers on the china pattern they registered for. Images on the invitation varied to match the specific china pattern the couple had selected. The average revenue generated was $20 - 30 per mailer.

Novartis Seeds, an agriculture and biotechnology research organization, developed a personalized seed catalog for farmers based on information provided by dealers. The customized catalog includes information on products ordered and recommendations on specific products based on the customer's geographic location and growing conditions. Participating dealers had a 19% increase in sales.

Novartis Seed Catalog - Rogers Brand Novartis Seed Catalog - Rogers Brand
Novartis Seeds, an agriculture and biotechnology research organization, developed a customized seed brochure to drive sales of its Rogers Brand seeds. Each mailer features up to 50 variable fields that can be customized for climate and soil composition. Nearly 90 percent of eligible dealers have joined the program and Rogers achieved a 17% increase in sales and a 5% increase in market share.

Whirlpool "Build-A-Brochure" Program Whirlpool "Build-A-Brochure" Program
Whirlpool Corporation, a manufacturer of major home appliances, designed a personalized direct mail piece that only contains information on the products a consumer is interested in. The brochure also contains information on special promotions and dealer locations. The program resulted in a 65% reduction in costs of fulfillment compared with traditional catalogs.
